Ian Lloyd is the managing director of Digitalented. As an accessibility advocate and web standards champion for many years, Ian has picked up a few plaudits along the way. Here are just some of the nice things people in the know have said about his work:
An invaluable asset to the Trafalgar team ... helped us replatform our entire site and took the lead on a number of front end features. Proactive, knowledgable, and always hit tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Their knowledge of accessibility is second-to-none and helped us achieve an 'AA' rating across our site. A pleasure to work alongside and I look forward to another opportunity in the future!
I came to have great respect for his skills and ability and even greater respect for the way he introduced all around him to the concept of digital inclusion; making sure no-one is excluded. Ian is knowledgable, cares about accessibility, is patient and very thorough. He is exactly the stuff of evangelists and has done much to enlighten people on the benefits of accessible digital products. I cannot recommend Ian highly enough.
I first met Ian in 2005 when we served on an Accessibility Panel at SXSW. From the moment we started working together it was obvious that Ian was an international web standards and accessibility expert. Ian is dedicated to making the web available for everyone and on everything. What I most love about Ian's experience is that he volunteers as a web standards evangelist on his personal time, while walking the talk as the Senior Web Designer at Nationwide Building Society.
I've hired Ian to write on a couple of web design/development books now - "Pro CSS Techniques" and "Web Standards Creativity." For both projects, he has produced work of a very high standard, and followed deadlines with great diligence. His writing is well constructed and displays great technical aptitude, and I wouldn't hesitate in hiring him again for relevant projects.
